Checking child hosts

Post by snapon_admin »

Is there a good way to see all the child hosts for a specific host? I need to delete and re-add a host that's not working properly, but want to make sure that when I re-add the host it is still the parent host for its current children hosts. I can see that i Nagios core it shows that host's parents, but don't see anywhere that shows that host's children. We also can't use the hypermap for this because it is unreadable given how many hosts we have.

I believe you can view the parent/child relationships from within the CCM. Go to CCM->Hosts, and click on the "Info" actions button next to the host in questions. You should see "Relation to Hosts, entry: ...". Other than that, I am not sure if there is any other way, that doesn't involve digging into the database.

Didn't even see that info button... It's not terribly detailed, but it will certainly suffice, thanks!
