Move nagios entries from /var/log/messages

Post by jon.bilderback »

I would prefer to have nagios create its entries in something like /var/log/nagios instead, so that I can keep /var/log/messages free for system events.
Is anyone else doing this yet, or have an idea how i can change it?

Thanks

In /usr/local/nagios/etc/nagios.cfg, set use_syslog to 0, and edit log_file and log_archive_path to your liking.
