Hi, I am using Nagios XI 2012R2.7 under a VM download from Nagios.
We are having a strange problem in my server.
I try to find (Quick Find) a server, they list me bellow the text box, but when I try to see (go button) it show me that host is not there.
I have checked my config files, and everthing looks good.
Do you have some ideas what is happen?
Best Regards,
Geraldo

Re: Host missing
Is that just the display name, or is it the actual name of the host? Have you tried with both?
Re: Host missing
This is the actual HOST Name.
Yes I tried with both and I can not find the host.

Re: Host missing
Hmm, it's working fine on my end, I recall there was a issue with this around 2012 2.5-2.7 I would recommend upgrading to the latest version and giving it a shot:

I did the upgrade, now we are running R2.9
The problem still happens!

Re: Host missing
Does the host have any services attached to it? What happens if you search for "SPAG" only? Can you find the host, when you search for it in the Core Config Manager (CCM->Hosts->type "SPAG-TEL27" and the search bar and hit "Enter")?

Re: Host missing
Hi, this Hosts has no service attached to it. I Just create a PING service to the Host and it seens resolve the problem.
Include the version r2.7 and r.2.9!
I was wondering! Do I have to had a service attached to the hosts? I have a lot of hosts that does not have any services attahced, I Just use the ICMP of the hosts to check if the HOSTS is responde NET..

Re: Host missing
On my 2.9 machine when I search for a host that has no service attached it says "No matching services found - showing matching hosts instead." in a blue box and my host does int fact appear. You do not need to have a service attached to a host if you are just checking PING on it. Very strange.
