Sending SMS alerts to hundreads of users!!

Hello Guys,

We want to send SMS alerts to applicaton users (500) when the background job is not completed before usual time, so that they stay off the system.

Is it possible to send SMS alerts around 500 users ?

Its an IBM zLinux server and with users basing on different countries like CANADA,BRAZIL ETC.

Do you currently have SMS configured? Or are you asking if you can send 500 messages regardless? You should be able to send out 500, but it might be slow and you could possibly be blocked my your SMS relay if they think you are sending out spam.
