services prob var/lib/mrtg/10.1.1.252_1.rrd does not exist.

services prob var/lib/mrtg/10.1.1.252_1.rrd does not exist.

Version: 2012R2.9 Centos 6.4. 32

I have suddenly developed a problem when I use the router / switch wizard.

All the services on the newly scanned routers and switches and all coming up as unknown in the services summary and with the following messages

/var/lib/mrtg/10.1.1.252_1.rrd does not exist.

True enough when checking the directory they are not in the directory.

Can you please advise on what is causing this ?

Ive tried deleting the services and the hosts and starting again and also doing rm /usr/local/nagiosxi/tmp/mrtgscan* -f but it happens again for every service on the router and switch.

Did you use any of the 2.8 releases? Also what version of the switch and router wizard are you on?
Nagios-Plugins maintainer exclusively, unless you have other C language bugs with open-source nagios projects, then I am happy to help! Please pm or use other communication to alert me to issues as I no longer track the forum.

What is the Network Switch / Router version that you are using?

Run the following commands and show us the output in code wraps:

ll -R /etc/mrtg/

My system has been running for the last 8 months so prior to running 2.9 I think it was running 2.8.

How many switches/routers are you monitoring? Are you having issues with all of them?

Are you sure that you followed ALL of the steps, outlined in the "Nagios XI – Adding Service Switch or Router" document?

What is the output of the following commands?

ll /var/lib/mrtg
/usr/local/nagios/libexec/check_rrdtraf -f '/var/lib/mrtg/10.1.1.252_1.rrd' -w 1 -c 2

Could you pm one of us, or post your mrtg.cfg please? It looks like there might be issues within it. Also if you could run the following commands:

Your permissions look fine, however there is some oddness with your mrtg.cfg. For some reason lines 107099 is not completed correctly and has several newlines before the </td> that is on 107103, this same behavior is on 107107 and 107111 where the newlines need to be merged. So presently they look like:

and it should be changed to:

These appear to be the only two places with invalid lines. Please make those changes and try this command again:
