Hi,
I am trying to turn off notification for a single service on a range of hosts. It's the same service on about 1000 hosts.
What is the best way to achieve this without doing it manually?
Thanks

This would be a good use for CCM > Tools > Bulk Modifications Tool, select your service(s) and from the drop down disable notifications.
Re: Stop notification for a single service on multiple hosts
The following would solve your problems.
1. Make this one service a part of a service group, then you can issue the downtime / ack / disable notifications to the full service.
2. Disable notifications from the service settings inside CCM ( Services > Target Service > Alert Settings > Notifications Off)
3. Use Bulk Modification Tools in CCM
I always recommend scheduling downtime for a service over disabling notifications, otherwise you may forget to turn it back on once the service has recovered.

I'm assuming you have multiple entries for that one host? You can always create the one service, and assign it to several hosts. Same effect, but easier to manage.
