After manual installation Core Config Manager is not working

Post by jentyk »

Hello,

After installing manually Nagios XI version 2011r1.2, on Red Hat Enterprise Linux Client release 5.5 (Tikanga) I can not access Core Config Manager.
Basically nothing is showing on in main frame after clicking any of the links on the left side menu. No errors are showing up, also there is no information in httpd error_log.
Have anyone has an idea what can be the reason for such a weird issue or at least how to debug it and where to look for?

Regards,
Lukasz

Could you try and update/install the latest:
http://library.nagios.com/library/produ ... loads/main

both the 2009 and 2011 trunks are available here, many bugs and issues were fixed since 1.3G release. Please respond with results when possible.

Thanks!

Are you using any proxy configuration?

If so, this may be relevant:

Yes, I am using proxy.
I already managed to go through suggested post on the subject and also links posted there and on the linked pages with no success unfortunately.
My proxy seems to be configured fine.
It seems I have all prereqs installed.

Any other things to check / debug?

Okay, have any components or Wizards been installed lately? We have seen this happen when one goes to the incorrect place.

Nothing installed except of manual Nagios XI itself.
This is fresh installation and I did not have time to think about installing anything else, as main thing is not fully functional yet.

You may have checked this already, but if not look through the suggestions on our FAQ for proxy configurations.

Also, are you attempting to use SSL for the server? If that is the case, this is a known issue that we are working with as it causes several problems (some of which you have described) and are trying to have it completed for our next release.
