Hi,
I have nagios core 3.0 running on cent OS.
I want to know whether this nagios supports SNMPV3 support or do i need to upgrade the core itself to get SNMPV3 support ?
I will be using it for check_snmp and varius flavours of check_snmp to monitor linux servers. I may be monitoring ESX servers as well .in which case we need to use esx plugin to achieve the same.
Please advise.
Regards,
Rajesh

Re: version compatibility of nagios 3.0 with SNMPV3
Nagios core specifically does not handle anything to do with snmp of any version. This would be your plugins, of which 1.4 and newer should have support for snmpv3, although newer version have many less bugs.
Nagios-Plugins maintainer exclusively, unless you have other C language bugs with open-source nagios projects, then I am happy to help! Please pm or use other communication to alert me to issues as I no longer track the forum.
