monitoring the Nokia check point firewalls

Hi All,

I am new to nagios monitoring environment and we have to monitor the nagios check point firewall, when I google it, i found the plugin check_snmp_cpfw.pl. Am I on correct plug in and please also let me know if any thing needs to be configured / modified at firewall end.

please correct me if I am on wrong path

While we don't have a Checkpoint firewall to test in-house, a quick review of the plugin seems to suggest it would be useful in your situation. It is a third-party application though, so while we can certainly help you set it up there is only so much we can do before talking to the author might be a better idea. As for configuring the firewall, the plugin help page didn't seem to mention anything about that (other than SNMP being enabled, obviously) so I would assume not.
