nagios XI service and host escalations

Post by kendallchenoweth »

In Nagios XI , how can I configure a service escalation to use all services in a particular service group? Also how can I set wild cards and exclusions in host escalations? I know how to configure these settings in a config file that we have in Nagios Core, but the CCM in Nagios XI doesn't seem to display these options. I noticed that I can't successfully import nagios Core host and service escalations without Nagios XI creating junk entries like "!hostgroup" or ".*" as hostgroup names and host names.

Thanks in advance!

Some of the Nagios Core functionality is not available in XI, yet. You can manage some of the configs manually, by placing them in the "/usr/local/nagios/etc/static/" directory (as a "workaround").
