Adding a host on Nagios Core from web Interface

Post by b6fung »

Hello,
I want to ask if it is possible to add a host for monitoring on Nagios through the Web interface instead of adding it through the .cfg file. If so, what are the steps involved.
Thanks

That's not an option in the standard Nagios Core installation, however for just $50 we offer the Nagios Core Student edition, which includes a web-based Core Configuration Manager. If that is all you need it's a great time-saving investment.

Hi,

I use NagiosQL (http://www.nagiosql.org) for adding hosts via web page, It's open source and simple to install. Sadly it's only supported for Nagios 2.x/3.x.

Cheers,

QL is also a good solution, and there are a few third-party solutions out there. I can't really vouch for them (would be a bit biased) but I know others have reported success using them.
