We are having issue on one of production boxes.We are able to acknowledge but it is going off later and throwing problems alerts.
Seems it is not saving those status.Can you please help on this

Is the service/host set to "volatile"?

yes service is set to volatile in check setting.Would it be a problem

With volatile enabled, each time a check returns hard non-OK state, contacts are notified.

I removed the volatile setting but still it is removing acknowledgements.

We have resolved this issue.
Deleted ndo.sock, nagios.cmd and ndo2db.sock files and restarted nagios which resolved the issue.
