This is not necessarily easy. Here is the general NRPE documentation:

http://nagios.sourceforge.net/docs/nrpe/NRPE.pdf

and a link to a page of notes about the issue:

http://www.mayoxide.com/naghpux/

The person who wrote that says "I tried and while it can work, even though I'm a die-hard HP-UX admin I strongly suggest you use Linux instead."

Last but not least a link to a discussion on this forum regarding the issue: http://support.nagios.com/forum/viewtop ... =6&t=22268

Well, let us know how far you get, and if you need help, right now all that can happen is you can try to get it set up on the HP-UX servers. There may be difficulties based on your version of HP-UX as outlined.

I understand that. The documentation I have linked is relevant to installing NRPE, and the first PDF includes steps for installing the Nagios plugins. However, as mentioned in the links I provided, getting this to work on HP-UX is not likely to be as easy as following the docs word for word. You will probably have some dependency issues that will need to be resolved.
