Dear Team,
Can you please let us know about, checks and services.
How many checks we can handle on single perceptual license of NagiosXI Enterprise version.
Now are working with 24,000 in total checks how many checks we can add more in single NagiosXI Server.
We have configured following things in NagiosXI server for reducing the checks load.
1. RAMDISK utilization
2. MRTG file splitting in 8 other files
3. rrdcache configuration
4. 2 mod-gearman servers
etc.
We have following hardware on NagiosXI Server:
1. 16CPUs
2. 40GB RAM
3. 1TBHDD
Thanks in advanced.

Re: Batchmarking NagiosXI
As has been mentioned to you or your team multiple times in the past, we always recommend after about 10-12k service checks that you add an additional Nagios XI server into the mix. This number is even less depending on what type of checks you are running, it is reasonable to believe that if you are mostly receiving passive check updates this number could go higher. In a similar respect, if you are doing mostly active SNMP checking via MRTG/get_opper_status, etc, that this number would be less. At a certain point, it becomes less a matter of how much memory, and how much cpu you are throwing at a monitoring server and much more about all the opts going on. Simply increasing hardware can do little to effect issues caused by massive amounts of checks being scheduled at a very low interval, and to that point, more checks than we ever recommend on a single installation. You can't stretch time with more CPU and more memory.
