The virtual machine configuration could not be added.

Post by cort21 »

After downloading the Microsoft Virtual Machine version of Nagios XI, Windows Virtual PC gives me the following error when I try to open the vmc file: The virtual machine configuration could not be added. The hibernated state is not compatible with the insalled version of Windows Virtual PC. I have tried opening it in both Virtual PC 2007 on Windows XP, and in Windows Virtual PC on Windows 7 and I get the error message in both places. If I delete the state file, the system will boot, but when I open up the web console for Nagios XI, I do not know the password to log in and can't seem to find a way to reset it. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hello,
I apologize for this as it is a faulty upload. I will have a proper version uploaded by the end of the day and will report back here.

Sorry for the delay as it took a bit longer than expected. It has now been updated, tested and verified as working. Be sure to delete the old one and if it is stored in My Documents > My Virtual Machines remove it as well.
