Display IP address tooltip in XI

Nagios XI 2012R2.9
RHEL 6.5 x64
Manual Install

How do I enable the IP address tooltip when the mouse hovers over the hostname?
This is one of the features sorely missed after moving to XI.
How do I enable this feature in XI?

Are you taking specifically in Home > Service/Host Detail? If so, that is not currently a feature, but I'd be happy to put a feature request in for you, it does sound like a nice helper.

No, almost everywhere Nagios Core shows the IP when hovering over any hostname link, Host view, Host Summary etc
In XI, I have click and go in to see the IP.

We'll go ahead and put in a feature request for this, as I agree with you and slansing that it would be nice to have in XI. We just released our XI 2014 beta, so we are currently looking at changes for the final release.

Internal feature request filed. I can't say for sure when/if it will be implemented, as that is up to management and the developers, but if it does it should appear in the XI changelog.

I'll be closing this thread now, but feel free to open another if you need anything in the future!

UPDATE: This has been implemented internally and once it is tested it should be available in a future release.

Added for the full 2014 release:

Hover over hostname in:
Host/Service Detail tables
Service Detail page
Hostgroup/Servicegroup Overview/Grid Dashlets

will show IP address assigned to host.
