I would like to monitor a few SuSE linux servers. I see that the wizard does not include that distro. Any chance of adding it?
I would like to monitor the following logs:
/var/log/messages
/var/log/firewall
/var/log/warn

Re: SuSE Monitoring
Are you refering to the linux server wizard? If so, while it may not specifically list suse, it should work fine. Just a matter of installing and configuring nrpe on your system for nagios to connect to.
Nagios-Plugins maintainer exclusively, unless you have other C language bugs with open-source nagios projects, then I am happy to help! Please pm or use other communication to alert me to issues as I no longer track the forum.
Re: SuSE Monitoring
Actually, I found something better. SuSE has Nagios in YAST.
I've installed nagios-nrpe, nagios-nsca-client, nagios-plugins, and nagios-plugins-nrpe. Now, I just have to find some documentation on how to configure it for my Nagios server so it can connect.

Re: SuSE Monitoring
You can review this document (Customizing, Troubleshooting sections, etc.):
http://nagios.sourceforge.net/docs/nrpe/NRPE.pdf
Your paths would be different, but you will get an idea of how to set up a service and command definitions, and use check_nrpe.
