Hi,
I am currently at Nagios version Nagios XI 2012R1.0
As checked the current available update is 2012R2.9
Can I directly upgrade to the current version, If yes all the bug fixes & updates between R1.0 to R2.9 will be done ?
Also what can be the impact on my current nagios configurations ? and what all pre requisites & precautions I have to take.
Regards,
Taizoon

Yes you can upgrade directly, we actually just released XI 2014 today. I recommend backing up your installation, and that is mentioned in the following link, please follow these steps:

Can we directly go to 2014 from 2012.. ?
If possible, is there any cost involved and where do I get those details..?

If you are a current customer with an active maintenance plan then the upgrade is free. However we are getting reports of upgrade issues and I would recommend holding off on the upgrade until they have been resolved. If you want more details on upgrade costs or if you have account-related questions in general I would contact [email protected] with any questions.

Hi ,
I wish to 1 version upgrade, and once it is successful 2 or 3 version upgrades at a time.
i.e. goto 2012R1.1 first, then if successful go for R1.2, R1.3, R1.4 & so on.
Is there a different procedure to updgrade/ download 1 version at a time ?

I don't think we have had anybody move from 2012r1.0 directly to 2014r1.3. It should work, but if you are worried about the upgrade path, upgrade to 2012r2.9 first, and then proceed to upgrade to 2014r1.3.

Yes exactly that is what I have mentioned, I need to upgrade to 2012R1.1 first and then move ahead til 2012R2.9.
So If i need to only download 1 update how can I do it.?
