Advanced AD Integration features

Post by almonitoradmin »

We are currently using Nagios XI 2012R2.9 and have activated AD authentication. It's working great - I can log in with my AD account.

We're wondering how much control our domain controller can have over the AUTHORIZATION aspect now - can we control which host groups a member has access to with Active Directory as well? I looked around but couldn't seem to find anything that covers that.

Please let me know if that kind of function exists in Nagios XI, and if the newer version, 2014, may have that kind of granularity in authorization management.

Thanks,

- Jamie

AD is used for authentication only, not authorization. Nagios handles the authorization.
