I apologize in advance - I know from previous posts that this question has been asked in one capactity or another several times, but I'm not sure what is current information for today, and what the actual details are for what is possible for HPUX machine monitoring with Nagios XI.
For example, I see the web page: http://www.nagios.com/solutions/hpux-monitoring - but I don't see an agent to download.
It claims that HP-UX support is available, but to what extent, since I see no HPUX agent available.
We are running HPUX version 11.3 on some of our systems. We have Nagios XI 2012R2.9. (We plan on trying an upgrade to the latest version today, incidentally)
Here are the questions:
1) Is there, today, an HP-UX client agent available for Nagios XI? If so, where can I download it?
2) If an agent is not available, we will try to set up an snmp-agent. What HP-UX packages would need to be installed in order to work with the Nagios XI SNMP checks?
Thanks.

Re: What is possible for HP-UX and Nagios XI
The easiest way to monitor HP-UX with Nagios XI would be by installing NRPE and Nagios plugins on the HP-UX box. We don't have an "official" guide but if you did a google search you would find some info on how to install the agent and the plugins. I found these links:
