2014R1.0 update question...

Post by PhilG »

I have completed the Nagios XI 2014R1.0 update manually on the server last night by following the documentation:
http://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nagi ... nstall.pdf

After the update completed, I checked the Nagios web console and noted that the upgrade version was correct - Installed Version: 2014R1.0

I came in this morning to start checking things in the Nagios web console, using Firefox 29.0.1, and noted the following (web browser cache was cleared prior to logging in):
A new Nagios XI update is available.

2014R1.0 was released on May 13th, 2014.
Visit http://www.nagios.com to obtain the latest update.
Latest Available Version: 2014R1.0
Installed Version: 2014R1.0
Last Update Check: 2014-05-15 13:03:58

I ran the web console "Upgrade to latest version" and the process ran without any issues, and received the following:
Status Date Actions
Success 2014-05-16 08:12:49

I logged out and back in.

I noted in Admin:
Important Tasks: A new Nagios XI update is available.

I clicked on the link "update is available", and noted:
"

I had to click "Check for updates now" to finally get "Your Nagios XI installation is up to date."

How come that does not clear up after the initial install and then logging off and back on??

As far as I remember, the upgrade check is run once per day. We may change this in the future (if needed).
