Hello
I have created following service checks for an esx host:
VMware Host CPU Usage
VMware Host Memory Usage
VMware Host IO Read
VMware Host IO Write
VMware Host Net Usage
VMware Host Runtime Status
VMware Host Swap Usage
All these checks work individually. I have created a individual service template for each check.
But to add them I have to manually add each individual check to the ESX host. All these checks will be standard across all are esx hosts as such I was wondering how I can group them into like a template where when I register the host to that template it will obtain all the above checks. That way i don't have to individual add the host to each service template.
Any suggestions on how I can archive that.
Many thanks.
Grouping a set of esx checks into a template
Re: Grouping a set of esx checks into a template
You can probably add your esx hosts to a hostgroup, and add each check to this hostgroup.
Note: When you add a service to a hostgroup, it gets added to all of the hostgroup members. As you add new members to this hostgroup, the service is automatically added to the new members.
