NagiosXI upgrade to 2014 failed

Post by financialedgeccu »

Upgrade to 2014 failed. Still thinks I am running 2012R2.9. I have ran update twice.

Fails both times. "make[1]: Leaving directory '/tmp/nagiosxi/subcomponents/nagioscore/nagios-4.0.5' Running configuration check...CONFIG ERROR! Restart aborted. Check your Nagios Configuration. Monitoring engine will not start now.

It should have shown you more than that, specifically there should be an error relating to the file that caused the upgrade to fail.

In either case, you will need to resolve your current, outstanding configuration errors before Nagios can be stopped, and upgraded to the version we include with XI 2014. To check where the errors are, you can navigate to CCM > Tools > Write Configs Tool, then click write/verify. You should now see where the errors lay and must be fixed. Once you believe you have fixed them, make sure you can apply configuration, then continue with the upgrade.
