Hi There,
actually I running two installations of Nagios (want to upgrade Nagios 3.2.3 to Nagios 4.0.6 with some different options).
I updated the SNMP Service with GPO and also restarted the service.
now my problem is, the new Nagios Server is getting a timeout error when trying to execute SNMP checks on Windows Server 2003.
the strange thing is, not every 2003 Server has this issue, only a few ones.
after restarting the SNMP service on one of this servers, the checks are working for about an hour.
Any idea what this could be?
is some more information needed?
Thanks a lot for your help
kind regards

Re: SNMP checks on Windows 2003
If most of the servers are working but only a few are not it does not seem like it is an issue with the Nagios server itself, is there anything that conclusively shows this in the logs on the Windows server or the Nagios server? Have you contacted Microsoft regarding this issue?
Re: SNMP checks on Windows 2003
hi, thanks for your response.
it looks like the GPO isn't working correctly on 2003 Servers, I decided to set the SNMP settings directly in registry for this servers, looks like this works.
thanks anyway for your help
