Largely no backwards compatibility has come a long way, but you can always have both and just change your shebang line...

Close this out, installed python 3.3 alongside my python2 install, so both are working fine(in dev). I'll just have to adjust the command to specify python3.3.

Just wanted to leave a note here for anybody googling this in the future, or reading this post, please note that the plugin has been updated to support both Python 3 and Python 2, so you will no longer have to install Python 3 if your system to does not have it. The version of the plugin that works with Python 2 is 0.2.
