That is the classic theme, installed with "make install-classicui", the white one can be installed with "make install-exfoliation"
Please post the output of this command:
Are you seeing any javascript errors?

I get the same screen that you get when I disable javascript, you don't have javascript disabled do you? Or see any javascript errors?

I have 2 systems, 1 a production system running Ubuntu 12.04 LTS and Nagios 4.08 and the other test system which is running the new 4.1 which we have been talking about. Trends work fine on this browser when accessing my 4.08 image, but not in the test system image. Trend did work on the test system when it was running 4.08, after the upgrade it's broken. I don't see any java errors but I agree, has to be some sort of java issue.

Actually there was a bug in the RC1 Beta, causing this exact problem.
I believe it has already been fixed in master and will be pulled into the full release.

Are we alright to close this thread? I don't have a roadmap for the next Core release unfortunately.
