We already have the distributed monitoring setup in place and working.

What i do wonder though is i have a test machine in our own lan network. On this machine i have a nagios core running which monitors our local lan. To test the workstation monitoring i added my own pc on the fqdn name.

After a reload i still didn't see it popup on the main services screen. Is this because fqdn only works with passive hosts or is this a but in the core version?

On a side note i actually just noticed that i posted this whole thread in the NagiosXI forum even though its supposed to be in the Nagios Core section. My bad for that.

It's difficult to say what the issue is without seeing any of your configuration. Can you post the relevant host and service definitions?

I found the error while i was collecting the requesting data. It seems i forgot to add a host_name variable to the host itself.
