Unfortunately I am unable to access the Portable Firefox and my Solaris system tries to download the MP3 you linked rather than play it.

It still doesn't make sense to me that when I enable the sounds in cgi.cfg that I now have to re-authenticate. That shouldn't be a function of my browser, but of the web service itself.

What version of IE are you running? If it's 7 or 8, the following might be instructive: http://windowsitpro.com/windows/q-how-d ... -event-log

Later versions probably have something similar. If you're not familiar with Windows event logs, feel free to post here.
