I took a look at the nsclient.ini file it is empty and does not have any settings so that is why the check_nt command is failing.

What you need to do is to reinstall the NSClient++ agent by following this document.

It says that is is for Nagios XI but it will work for Nagios Core as well.

Thanks for Highlighting the issue.
I replaced the file from another server and it is working now.

But i have another server where this file is blank, and it is blank. Shockingly it is working. Any idea what could be the reason.

You could be using a different agent and are running different check commands.
Or, you are testing the wrong host.
Or, you have another copy of the NSClient++ agent that is installed to a different folder and that one is running.

Today i added one more server to the monitoring
It has started giving the same Error.

I have attached the nclient file from that server. Kindly look into it.
