I see a lot of errors like this in the cmdsubsys.log

Code: Select all

Couldn't resolve proxy 'fg.umniah.com'
Also, can you run the following and return /tmp/reconfigure.txt

Code: Select all

cd /usr/local/nagiosxi/scripts
./reconfigure_nagios.sh >/tmp/reconfigure.txt 2>&1

Dear ,

I did the command "killall5 -9" in order to kill processes because each time I try to reset to configuration factory defaults or run command of reconfigure.sh it gives me error that another process is running...
After I did the command above I am now unable to login to nagiosxi by ssh and web page does not open, please advise how to fix this issue.

Thanks

For the "-bash: fork: retry: Resource temporarily unavailable" error, you can try following the steps, outlined here:

https://access.redhat.com/solutions/543503

Did you try removing the reconfigure_nagios.lock, prior to running the reconfigure_nagios.sh script as suggested by scottwilkerson?

I saw in the profile, that your hard drive was almost 90% full. Do you have enough HD space now? What is the output of the following command?

Code: Select all

df -h
Do you see any errors in the web UI, when you try to log in?

Code: Select all

http://<ip address>/nagiosxi
What about errors in the apache error log?

Code: Select all

tail -100 /var/log/httpd/error_log
Is apache running?

Code: Select all

service httpd status
Also, if you are using a proxy, I would recommend reviewing our KB article on the topic here:
