Thanks for sending the files over. There numerous services to getting check results with the following error.
NRPE: Command 'check_disk' not defined
The check commands are not defined in the nrpe.cfg configuration file on the remote host or the nrpe service was not restarted after making changes.
Can you upload the nrpe.cfg on these systems? If they are using the same commands, the one configuration file will work. Here's a guide that explains the check commands in NRPE and how to pass arguments in the check commands in Nagios XI.
NRPE - Configuring NRPE Commands To Accept Arguments
Also, once making any corrections, test the check command from the command-line in Nagios XI to make sure it is working as expected.
Nagios XI - How To Test Check Commands From The Command-line
These errors are due to change in nrpe cfg file as the check_disk is commented. I corrected and its good now.
My concern here is why nagios application errored out saying wproc: stdout line 01: UNABLE TO CONNECT TO DB - EXITING! and also inspite of the host is inaccessible nagios alerted on the services.

Hello,
The message was confusing for myself as well and was not the result of a database issue but possibly the result of a check command or event handler not being able to access a database.
Are you still getting that error message?

Just to clarify, it sounds like the problem has been resolved. Is this correct?

Hi,
The hosts that are in the list did not have the NRPE check command defined, so they went into an UNKNOWN/UNREACHABLE state triggering the notifications.
While the issue should not be corrected, you can disable notifications for unknown/unreachable states if desired.

Hello,
Thanks for sending over the logs, reviewing them now. Can you verify that the time settings on your server match? Go to Admin > System Config > System Profile > View System info
xi-time-settings.png
Also, verify that the timezone settings match the timezone set in Admin System Config > System Settings > Timezone Setting
