The check_nrpe_HPUX command! Check_pip_err_rel_ECE !!!!!!! was executed on an HPUX which has not been updated the NRPE so I use an old version of it to be executed on those computers.
It was done in this way to eliminate these lines:
check_nrpe: Remote 10.177.100.24 does not support Version 3 Packets
In the /var/log/messages
In effect, we have discovered that you are correct, the tee command is the one that prevents the alert from being sent as CRITICAL.
