It is actually stalling out on the loop that prepare configs to be written to file.
What do your have your memory limit set at in your /etc/php.ini file?
You should have configurations in your Core Config Manager from the recent wizards that you've run unsuccessfully, particularly the exchange server and switch wizard. I'd suggest finding them and deleting the services, then the hosts for these recent additions you've attempted. We'll see if we can get it back to working, then try and figure out what went wrong from there.

Hi,
I increased the memory to 350MB in php.ini file. I deleted the services and the hosts a few days ago but they showed up again. We recently removed one of our routers and gave our core switch the router's IP address and deleted the Switch's old IP ie the host and services from Nagios. But Nagios keeps showing the old IP address and its services. I have deleted them again.
I also tried configuring a DHCP server and Nagios is showing that server's DHCP service is out of sync. How do you want me to proceed now.
Thank you,
Deepika Manem

How are you deleting these? If you are deleting the cfg files on the server, they are just going to be rewritten the next time you click apply configuration from the web UI. They would need to be deleted through the CCM

Hi,
I deleted them according to a forum I read on Nagios Support. I deleted the services from CCM services then went to Host and deleted the host. They did not show up that day but now when I went back and searched for that host in CCM its back again.
Thank you,

Can you there aren't any files in the /usr/local/nagios/etc/import directory?
Also, there are several things you have seen on this same system that just seem downright weird, how far along in the setup are you? Would a re-install be an option?

Hi,
I deleted the hosts and services and applied the configuration. I am now able to run the monitoring wizard but now instead of the write configuration timing out, it says Configuration error and a red line shows up in the Configuration snapshot. Do you want me to send the error file? I would not mind re-installing.
Thank you,

This sounds better. Send the error file.

Hi,
Attached are a couple of error files I got when I tried to save configuration for the deleted and newly added nodes.
Thanks,

These likely aren't all of the errors you will get but we will need to resolve them one by one
The errors are saying that the hosts Kam01ex & Stack do not have max_check_attempts assigned
These can be set in Configure -> CCM -> Hosts -> Kam01ex & Stack -> Modify -> Check Settings Tab
To resolve multiple issues like this it is best to make the correction, then go to
Configure -> CCM -> Tools -> Write Config Files
Work through the top 3 buttons, look at the errors, fix them then repeat.
Once you have no errors (warnings are fine) then click the 4th button to Restart Nagios using the current data.
