Config error for Exchange server and Network Switch

Hi,

I am trying to get my Exchange server and Network Switch to be configured through Monitoring Wizard but I keep getting the same error. I have attached the error screenshots. My switch is using SNMPv3 but NagiosXI has SNMPv2. Please let me know what the issue is.

What version of XI is this?

This is NagiosXI v.2011R2.3

I believe the switch would need to have SNMP v2c enabled.

It looks like we are timing out.

OK what about the Exchange server? I installed ++Netclient on the server but it keeps giving the same error.

Can you run the following commands in terminal on your Nagios server and post the output? (hide the sensitive data)

cd /usr/local/nagios/libexec
./check_nt -H <client_IP> -s <password> -p 12489 -v UPTIME

The output to the above command is "System Uptime - 27 day(s) 2 hour(s) 25 minute(s)".

What errors are you receiving when running the Exchange checks? The errors above are just php errors in the logs. What do the exchange plugin errors look like?

Hi,

This is the error that shows up on the Nagios XI webpage when I run the plug-in.

" Waiting for configuration verification.....................................
Configurations failed to write to file.
Configuration Error
An error occurred while attempting to apply your configuration to the monitoring engine. Contact your Nagios administrator if this problem persists".

Can you go to configure -> Core Config Manager -> Tools -> Write Config Files
And walk through top 3 items, reporting any errors.
