Old cfg files

I have changed all config names in services to a new name. After appling configuration, I can still see a cfg file with old config name in /usr/local/nagios/etc/services. Will this cause any problem? What is the best way to clean the cfg file with old confg name?

Have you "applied configuration" yet? What version of XI are you running?

Yes, I did "applied configuration". Noticed all cfg files were updated with new time stamp expept the old one. We are running 2012R1.2.

When you remove the service from the CCM and apply configuration does it come back? If so please follow these steps for ghost host/service removal:
