I need to use Nagios XI to monitor a cluster of RHEL VMs.
Nagios XI wizard led to install a Linux NRPE agent on the monitored virtual machines.
The infrastructure is owned by a different team that refuses to give me root privileges.
Is it possible to install NRPE agent as another (non-root) user who may not have all the
privileges of root?
Thanks,
Rk
is root access needed to install Linux NRPE agent?
Re: is root access needed to install Linux NRPE agent?
nrpe runs as a daemon on the remote host, which usually requires root permissions to install/configure.
