Error: Adding member to a ServiceGroup

Hello,

I'm getiing the following error when applying configuration.

Error: Could not find a service matching host name '' and description 'cordmon1' (config file '/usr/local/nagios/etc/servicegroups.cfg', starting on line 46)
Error: Could not expand member services specified in servicegroup (config file '/usr/local/nagios/etc/servicegroups.cfg', starting on line 46)
Error processing object config files!

Do you have a service named cordmon1 defined defined within a servicegroup? If so, remove it via the CCM, this error may be because you removed the service from the CCM, but it somehow may not have caught that it has a dependency within a servicegroup.

What is CCM?

Also, I created a my own dashboard and can't move the dashlet around. I'm following the instructuions for using dashbords.

Don't worry about the error - I found another way so that i ncould create a service group.

However, I'm still not sure why I can't move the dashlet.....

CCM = Core Config Manager (accessible from the config page)

What version of XI are you running?
What view did you add the dashlet to?

Nagios XI 2011R2.2
I added the dashlet to dashboard I created.

You should be able to click the arrow icon to the right of the dashlet when hovering over it, this will pin and un-pin the dashlet. Are you logged in as the nagios admin? Would a upgrade be a possibility for you? We are currently on 2012 R1.8, in case it is an option the instructions can be found here:

Yes, I'm logged on as a nagios admin.
Eventually we will upgrade but not now.
