Ignoring individual Services

Post by jj23 »

Apologize in advance for the noob question but is there a way to have Nagios ignore specific services on a host.
We have a windows server that we have the www service set to manual start (on purpose) and Nagios keeps alarming on it.

Is there a way to tell the software to ignore the WWW service and continue to monitor everything else?

Thanks In Advance

You can disable the check by going to: Configure --> Core Config Manager --> Services --> search for the service --> In the right hand pane, click "yes" to the right of the service. This will change it to "no", effectively disabling the check. Then "apply configuration".
