I have attempted to convert and load the trial of NagiosXI using Hyper-V and Server 2008r2 64.
Eth0 will not go to an up state, and will only get a 127.0.0.1 address. I am creating this post per the sales support line so it can be tested and to relay what the fix will be for other Hyper-V users.
I am what is said to be the first Hyper-V trial user.
The suggestion was to load the vmplayer to try this out. This would only be a temp solution.
Thanks,

nic issue under Hyper V 2008r2 64
Re: nic issue under Hyper V 2008r2 64
Sounds like the Nic config changed under Hyper-V. Run the following command once you're logged in as the root user:
The output should show if the kernel detected any Nics that can be used. Let us know what the output says, as it will provide us with more information that can be used to help you.
Code: Select all
dmesg | grep ethAs of May 25th, 2018, all communications with Nagios Enterprises and its employees are covered under our new Privacy Policy.

I scrapped the use under Hyper-V, using the vmplayer now with better results.
Sorry for the delay in the reply and thanks for the input, I will file it for future reference.
