On which dashboard in particular? Did you apply configuration after adding them?

Host details. Tried to apply the configuration again and get " An error occurred while attempting to apply your configuration to Nagios Core. Monitoring engine configuration files have been rolled back to their last known good checkpoint."

We need to figure out the errors regarding applying configuration before the nagios process will know about them. Presently they are just being held in the backend database. Go to Configure-> Core Config Manager -> Tools -> Write Config Files. Do the top two buttons, write and verify, and return the output to us please or if you read through the bottom and understand whats going on feel free to attempt to change it and go back the the write and verify when you think its fixed.

Write wrote everything successfully. When I clicked on the verify I got the following at the bottom:
Error: Invalid max_check_attempts value for host 'bikinifire'
Error: Could not register host (config file '/usr/local/nagios/etc/hosts/bikinifire.cfg', starting on line 14)
Error processing object config files!

Ok changed max attempts to 3 (although none of the others are...) then got invalid hostgroup on a server. Took off the hostgroup on that one, got it on another hostgroup on another server. Took it off of that one and got it on another...

You probably did not configure any of the required default settings for the objects. Sounds like it is fixed. Enjoy the weekend. Locking 'er up.
