Recurring downtime

Post by WillemDH »

Hi,

Got some questions about recurring downtime.
1) Is a host goes into downtime, should this hosts service also go into downtime? Or should its services stop sending notifications?

2) It should be possible to specify a service in the recurring downtime page:
"Optional service associated with this schedule. A wildcard can be used to specify multiple matches (e.g. 'HTTP*'). "
However when I try to use a wildcard, for example EVT_*, I get "The service you specified is not valid for your user account." I tried using single and double quotas, but same problem.

3) Can I specify multiple service for a host? I tried with comma's and semicolons, but didn't work.

The services do not enter downtime on their own when using Scheduled Downtime "the core version," with Recurring Downtime you have the option to also specify services under a host to bring into downtime, it is the second field you will see when scheduling Host Downtime. Unfortunately it looks like there is a bug with using a wildcard to specify multiple services, I am going to get in contact with a dev about this when he is out of his meeting.

It seems this has been solved in one of the latest patches. Thread can be closed.
