Customized views in Nagios

Post by prashant.khare »

HI Guys,
I have a requirement where i need to create a Guest login in Nagios and customize its views to display only few specific services from different hosts. Can you please help me with this configuration or at least let me know if it's possible or not?

I m running Nagios® Core™ Version 3.5.0 in my environment.

For Example Suppose under guest login i want only Xyz service to be displayed from abc host.

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

When you create the user's account, also create a contact definition that is named exactly as the user's name is. Then, you can apply that contact to only hosts you would like that user to see, and limit their authorization through the nagios cgi.cfg to only be able to see hosts and services that they have access to, not all of them. Views are a separate piece within Nagios XI, not Core, but I see what you mean.
