Selenium test with Nagios

Post by stecino »

Hi All,

I am running into firefox dependency issue:

[root@stageutil03 selenium]# perl Game-Pass-Login
Error requesting http://localhost:4444/selenium-server/driver/:
Failed to start new browser session: java.lang.RuntimeException: Firefox 3 could not be found in the path!
Please add the directory containing ''firefox-bin' or 'firefox'' to your PATH environment
variable, or explicitly specify a path to Firefox 3 like this:
*firefox3 /blah/blah/firefox-bin
# Looks like your test exited with 255 before it could output anything.

I am running Centos server, how can I bypass this dependency?

I actually went ahead and installed firefox on the server.

Now when I run the selenium test I get

14:41:55.278 ERROR - Failed to start new browser session, shutdown browser and clear all session data
java.lang.RuntimeException: Timed out waiting for profile to be created!

Are you exporting the selenium tests to java scripts? It's suggested to use perl, as the dependencies are easier to manage. Otherwise, have you opened the browser as the selenium user and created the profile yet?
Nagios-Plugins maintainer exclusively, unless you have other C language bugs with open-source nagios projects, then I am happy to help! Please pm or use other communication to alert me to issues as I no longer track the forum.
