no services associated with it!

My Nagios Core is up and running, but certain devices do not have any services asssociated with them.

How do I configure each device to have services monitored?

Message I recieve.
/usr/local/nagios/bin/nagios -v /usr/local/nagios/etc/nagios.cfg
Warning: Host 'xxxback' has no services associated with it!

You need to take a look at the handbook and define services as they are shown there. Your first service could be as simple as a ping check against the host that service resides under:
