MkLivestatus

Post by kiplingm »

Hi,

is it possible to run XI with Mklivestatus instead of NDO?

If so, what would the process be to replace it and would there be issues when upgrading in the future?

See other thread regard NagVis - issue could be tied to NDO, so interested in possibly switching backends.

Thank you,
Kipling

MKLiveStatus is a great tool for Nagios core, but unfortunately XI has ndo pretty heavily embedded into it. I'm curious if MK could be installed alongside ndo though since they all read from the same status.dat file, that way it could be used for NagVis. (I've never tried it, but I'm wondering if it'd be possible).

I believe you can use both concurrently, and make add-ons like NagVis use MkLiveStatus, yes.
