|
| - timeperiods with second-intervals (i am monitoring some scripts
| running < 1 min.)
this is is possible for ages see
http://nagios.sourceforge.net/docs/1_0/ ... val_length

| - some integration of timeperiods to "trends" (the above scripts show
| most of hte time critcical states, you nearly can=B4t see the ok-states=
)
|
| - "views" on the web interface, defined groups and users should only se=
e
| the hosts or services they are assigned to (by the way, is there
| anything wrong with authentication in nagiosV2? I may see everything
| without auth.)
there have been severeal requests for authentication alreday and they
all have been rejected for various reasons. a new webfrontend
implementation is planned for nagios 3 wich will propably take anoher
few years.
see: http://www.nagios.org/upcoming.php at the bottom

| - integration of an easy object-config-gui (like nawui)
there is several 3rd party config tools (nagtat, nawui etc) i don't see
any need to include them into the main distzribution

| May i re-ask my question about getting the top-output of a certain
| machine onto the web-interface (see posting "Top-Output")? Any
| suggestions for this?

i din't read that one. if this has to do with network traffic you might
want to check out http://apan.sourceforge.net/ or
http://www.raxnet.net/products/cacti/

have a nice day
