People has "/cgi-bin/showlog.cgi" to read it ;)

The native nagios.log is just, up to now, a data sink for the daemon and
the cgi's - for what other could it be usefull?

Are you ready to patch all of the CGIs too?
What if people would like to have other date formats? Europe, US, ISO....?
