First time trying to work with plugins - no luck

Post by mocjack »

I am running Nagios XI under CentOS 64bit. Everything works perfectly right now, but I have started to play with the plugins for Cisco available on the nagios exchange.

Here is my issue...

I downloaded the cisco check for check_catalyst_load ( http://exchange.nagios.org/directory/Pl ... ad/details ).

Configured everything (I thought) properly.. uploaded the plugin through the web interface, verified root could run the plugin by doing it from command shell... When I run it from the command shell it returns an "OK!" with the load of the switch listed (20, 20, 20).

When I run it in Nagios, I get a result of "NULL".

Here is how I have it set up:

Can anyone see anything here I have done wrong? I have tried all sorts of combinations but I cannot get it to work. As I said, it works from command-line logged in as the root (nagios) account, so I know I have the community string and such correct.

Thanks to anyone in advance!!!!!

Hello Jack,
could you show the exact command and output (barring any sensitive information) so that we may better troubleshoot please?

Thanks!
