just fyi, the latest packages in debian unstable are 2.6 (with a new
version on the way, and someone is working on a seperate nagios3 package
too). last time i checked, ubuntu was using the debian source packages,
and so they should be <=3D to the debian version at any given
time.
so i haven't followed the details of this problem, but if it's something
that showed up between 2.6 and 3.0, that might explain why there haven't
been as many complaints from the debian/ubuntu folks
