Sorry, I misunderstood what you were trying to do. There are a number of
ways you could get the functionality you want, your config might just get
a little complicated. Keep in mind that a host check can be anything. In
the scenario you describe I might set up my files in the following manner:

1) Setup your host & service definitions as usual.
2) Create a dummy host with a check command that checks the service you
want your real host to be dependant upon.
3) Create a test on your dummy host that is the same as the host check
command.
4) Create a host dependancy making your real host dependant on the dummy
host.

If you don't want the dummy host to show up in the Web UI, just make the
contact for the dummy host a non existent user.

I was under the impression that you could make a service depend upon
another
service, not a host depend upon a service?
